Activation: Handpaint initials on Yeti tote bags

With a team of three artists, we hand-painted monograms on 40 Yeti tote bags for a corporate event in Century City for a holiday luncheon. Each bag takes about 10 minutes to paint. Since the event was only 2 hours, personalization requests were taken in advance to the event, to ensure that every bag could be completed. My team arrived one hour prior to the event to start painting the bags.

Guests had the option of getting their monograms customized with white or black paint with 2 initials.

Activation: Engrave on Royal Salute bottles purchased by customers

I partnered with Royal Salute with 8 on-site event at several markets throughout Southern California. The brand representative was so kind to help unbox and rebox the bottles, so that I could quickly work on the next bottle when there was a queue of bottles awaiting personalization.

When time allows for it, I love adding my artistic flourishes to my engraving to add a special touch for the customer’s gift gifting. Most clients had never seen hand-engraving, and they enjoyed watching the process as I sketched, engraved, and filled the engravings with color to match the bottle lid.

The Blace platform is founded on the terms Blank + Space. Their brand targets the event planning space where their venue partners can be transformed into any space for any type of event. My team offered their guests the options of engraving California theme motifs (poppies, palm tree or wave) to customize their boxes along with the wording of their choice. Some guests customized with their names, family members, or a witty phrase like “top secret”. Radley London - Retail Monogram Painting

Brand: Radley London

Event Type: Retail

Activation: Hand paint monograms on wallets and handbags purchased by customers

Customers love custom personalization because it adds a bit of character and makes their item one-of-a-kind. As items are mass produced, customers love the idea that their bag or wallet is distinctively his/her own because his/her name is on the product.

While many online retailers offer printed monograms on their leather goods through a machine, printed monograms is not normally offered in stores because retailers have limited space in their stores. For that reason, hand-painting by an artist is a beautiful way to add a custom monogram in a store that only requires the space for a table and a chair for your store activation.

I was genuinely surprised that every customer that made a purchase at the Radley London store for their aninversary event, wanted the custom monogram painting that I offered. I displayed a swatch of the various color choices and the alpha-letters that were available to the customers. I hand-painted wallets and handbag tags based on the customer’s requests.

My painting set-up with signage, sample, and painting/lettering choices.

I paired pink to represent the customer’s favorite color with gold to match the hardware.

I used fun colors from the wallet design for the client’s monogram.

This customer wanted the monogram to blend in with the bag, so I used gold (to match the hardware) with a black outline.
